It is possible to have teeth extracted and immediately place implants into the extraction sockets – ‘Instant Implants’. You can even then have temporary teeth added onto these implants. However, if you are in pain, you can ask your dentist to carefully remove the tooth, and to clean the area carefully with consideration of implant protocols which we have taught to many referring dentists.
